A leading software development company is looking for a Cloud Architect to join the team remotely as the company’s subject matter expert in running cloud-native applications and fulfill all the design, architecture, and implementation needs to establish a robust, secure, and reliable application. This will be a fully remote opportunity with the ability to provide high level oversight to leadership where you opinion will matter and drive the direction of the product.

Responsibilities

• Participate in deep architectural discussions to help product teams make cost-efficient design decisions
• Create, communicate, and promote cost-efficient practices for public cloud native development across the firm
• Work alongside a small team of developers to implement best practice, roadmap proper migration plans, and successfully utilize AWS within the company
• Collaborate with business software engineering teams on solving business problems with cost optimization in mind
• Communicate with business leaders to understand the needs of the team and provide top notch cloud computing throughout the organization

Required Qualifications

• DevOps practice implementation and management to deliver a smooth transition to the public cloud
• Ability to navigate complex data sets and pull out insights using SQL or similar tools
• Experience architecting, designing, administering, or developing applications in Amazon Web Services
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both written and orally, as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse technology teams
• Cannot currently sponsor H1B and are only looking for US Citizens

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance or related field
• Advanced expertise with AWS
• Advanced experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
• Deep knowledge of serverless technology
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification (or equivalent knowledge), AWS Business Professional certification or equivalent knowledge, AWS Cloud Practitioner certification

Pay: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
