The Role:

The AWS Cloud Engineering Architect is responsible for transforming business requirements into cloud-based technology solutions. The ideal candidate for this role will partner heavily with multiple technology teams consisting of DevOps engineers, DevSecOps engineers, application developers, and data scientists to design highly available, scalable, secure, and performant solutions that are compliant across multiple security and risk platforms. In addition, the architect will ensure seamless integrations between existing, highly complex technology environments and newly designed infrastructure architectures.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to transform business needs into highly available, secure, performant, and compliant technology solutions.
• Develop policies, standards, guidelines and governance for infrastructure deployment and orchestration via managed AWS platforms.
• Facilitate long-term architecture planning to ensure alignment between business product and technology roadmaps.
• Provide design artifacts via detailed technical architecture diagrams (HLD, LLD) and associated documentation.
• Ensure that architecture designs are compliant across multiple security and risk platforms, including PCI, SOC-2, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and ISO 27001.

What you Bring

• 7-10 years of infrastructure technology experience, with increasing levels of responsibility over time.
• 3-5 years of implementing AWS services in complex computing environments, across multiple accounts and regions, consisting of hundreds or thousands of resources.
• Expert level understanding of DevOps principles and Agile project delivery.
• Advanced knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Advanced knowledge of container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS.
• Advanced knowledge of configuration management tools such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet and/or Chef.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, with the ability to align business, product and technical challenges and solutions.
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to tailor delivery to both technical teams and leadership, including C-Suite executives.
• Highly collaborative mindset, championing working together across multiple teams to achieve common goals benefiting the company as a whole.
• Industry Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional) strongly preferred.
