Mulberry is hiring for a Backend Engineer to help build a modern platform transforming how insurance is priced and offered at the point of sale. As a Backend Engineer at Mulberry, you will be working with a close-knit team with deep experience building financial products for e-commerce.
What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain the APIs that power the Mulberry platform.
• Develop software with a focus on performance, maintainability, and readability
• Work closely with other engineers to provide best-in-class solutions to our users' problems.
• Learn to lead initiatives to improve engineering practices and expedite software delivery from senior team members
• Participate and contribute in code reviews
• Work with cross-functional teams comprised–including product, design, assurance, and customer experience

Experience we're seeking:

• 2+ years of experience working on software development teams
• Python language experience
• Flask or Django framework experience a plus
• Relational database experience–SQL, ORMs/SQLAlchemy
• Unit / integration testing
