Description & Details: Create edible masterpieces with our team! NDSU Dining is looking for an artistic, aesthetically skilled Baker to join our culinary team. Located in the heart of NDSU’s campus, Dining provides state-of-the art facilities and a fun, lively environment. This position provides you with the opportunity to be creative on new projects! Work on elaborate cakes, Bison cookies and everything in between. Our Baker is also involved in planning special events on-campus and around the Fargo/Moorhead community by providing leadership to our team in pastry, baked good and confection creation. This position provides you with an exceptional Monday-Friday schedule, with no evening shifts, and limited weekends. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 4:00 am to 12:30 pm There may be a few weekends necessary throughout the year to support business needs.

Advertised Salary: $18.00/hr + depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of baking experience in a commercial bakery operation or its equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communicaiton skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specailized pastry training
  • Food Safety Certification
  • College & University food service experience
