We are a from-scratch artisan bakery located in Hudson, Ohio. We have great, loyal customers who think it is important to support local business, and we enjoy a terrific reputation in our community because of our serious fixation on high quality and excellence in service. We need someone who shares our ideals, passion, and commitment!

We are looking for some good, honest, and dependable people to add to our bakery staff. Duties include washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, assisting customers, slicing bread, emptying trash, washing windows, cleaning bathrooms, emptying 50-lb. bags of flour/sugar/salt into bins, putting away and organizing packaging, stamping bags and boxes, etc. This is a part-time position with no possibility of becoming full-time, and an extremely important one in the bakery. While 80% of the position is cleaning and keeping the bakery organized, 20% will be in customer service, so you need to be personable and courteous, and VERY knowledgeable about our products. The ideal person for this position is someone who can work quickly, with little supervision, and can be depended on to show up every day. You will be asked to undergo a working interview, for which you will be paid, in order that we can assess your abilities, your speed, and the quality of your work. If you are hired and you work for 6 months without calling off, you will get an automatic raise to $14.00 per hour.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays and Tuesdays. Compensation is $13.00 - $14.00/hour.

About GLBC: Since opening in the summer of 1998, the shop has produced a variety of freshly baked breads, scones, muffins, cookies, cakes, and rolls from scratch using traditional American and European recipes. The customer base is predominantly retail, but the bakery is proud to acknowledge its products are served in several of the area's finest restaurants.
