Job Description


Oversee and coordinate the planning, production and food preparation necessary to accomplish all banquets and catering functions. Oversee Culinary team in matters of food quality, cleanliness, production and sanitation. Needs to be able to oversee functions and have the ability to read BEOS. Must be able to work with Catering and Culinary teams to ensure all events are executed at a high level to ensure we meet the clients’ expectations.

Duties

  • Oversees catering operations and executes all banquet food service details
  • Executes banquet in accordance to the Banquet Event Orders, floor plan, room set up, timelines, rental orders, and any other requirements for the event
  • Responsible for the performance and supervision of the catering staff, and ensuring that the staff is prepared beforehand.
  • Maintains equipment and facilities in an organized, clean and safe environment
  • Ensures proper setting of food items on buffets and tables
  • Collaborates and maintains contact Conference Service Management Team
  • Completes event recaps and submits to appropriate manager in a timely manner
  • Supervises post banquet cleanup
  • Participates in staff meetings and BEO meetings

Additional Responsibilities

Directly supervise banquet servers, banquet bartender and housemen, it's depend of the area assigned. Is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; provide directly information for rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Applicants should have two to three years of Food & Beverage managerial experience.
  • Requires an Associate’s degree (A,A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
  • Able to float within Food and Beverage department.
  • Positive attitude with a generous and uplifting team approach.
  • Ability to engage with guest's and proactively anticipate and prioritize their needs.
  • Energetic and professional approach.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Food Handlers Certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained on a current/valid status. Must successfully attend Company Mandatory Manager Training programs
