Capital District Beginnings is an educational agency providing services for pre-school children with special needs in the Capital District. Named a Best Workplace of the Capital Region by the Times Union three years in a row, our philosophy is to teach children with disabilities in their natural learning environments. Beginnings is currently seeking Behavioral 1:1 Aides to join our self-contained and integrated classroom teams.

We have open positions available in; Rensselaer, Schenectady, Albany, Lansingburgh, Cohoes and Clifton Park, NY

You will work closely with the classroom Special Education Teachers, therapists, and support staff. In this position you will work directly with one approved child for the five-hour program and then participate in classroom meetings, professional development, preparation, cleaning and planning with the classroom team.

Program hours are scheduled in a five hour block between 8:00am-2:00pm, depending on location. 1:1 Aides are expected to work the full 5 hour program, Monday-Friday and are also given an additional 2.5 hours per week for planning, prep and meetings, totaling a 27.5 hour work week. This position starts as soon as possible and follows a school calendar and a 6 week extended school year summer session.

Pay: $15.48 - $16.48 per hour
