Job description

Summit Academy Enhanced is looking to hire Behavior Support Specialists (BSS) to deliver high-quality behavioral services within the school setting. Candidates will work under the direct supervision of highly qualified professionals (i.e., BCBA, psychologists, teachers).

Daily responsibilities may include: implementing Behavior Intervention Plans, helping conduct behavioral assessments, running lesson plans related to educational goals, data collection, and crisis support as needed. Staff will work directly with students ages 13-21 who demonstrate severe behavior.

• Support Teacher in instruction and fulfillment of IEP mandates
• Assist teacher to implement and monitor individual lesson plans, data collection and charting systems
• Assist in conducting classroom activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of need
• Assist with home-school communication
• Provide crisis intervention for individuals
• Collect, organize, and maintain direct observational data within the classroom and treatment room setting.
• Conduct all duties, responsibilities, and daily activities in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines
• Assist students with hygiene and toileting tasks
• Adheres to The Summit Center Core Agency Values of Adaptability, Accountability, Collaboration, Integrity, Optimism, and Respect

Education:

• High school or equivalent (required)
• RBT certification or certified-eligible (preferred but not required)

Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
