Responsibilities: As the Bereavement Manager at Snowline Hospice, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and comprehensive oversight of our bereavement programs and supportive leadership for the bereavement and Snowline team. Your duties will include:
- Manage and oversee bereavement employees as well as volunteers who perform bereavement-related activities
- Plan, design, implement, and facilitate bereavement programs, support groups, and related activities
- Ensure initial bereavement contact with hospice family survivors ensuring regular and appropriate contact
- Provide grief information and support through individual contact, letters, and support groups
Your Experience and Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a counseling related field from an accredited graduate school preferred
- At least 3 years postgraduate experience, preferably in health care and grief
- At least 2 years supervisory experience and experience in program development
- Excellent computer skills, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
- Current CA driver license, insurance, and reliable transportation
- Willing and physically able to perform home visits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently use a computer required
- Prior electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
- Periodic evening and weekend availability may be necessary upon occasion
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- In-depth knowledge about grief and loss
- Comfortable serving a multicultural and multigenerational community
- Have integral knowledge of our communities and their needs
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles preferred
