John Fraser Restaurant group is looking for an experienced Beverage to join our team at the Wall Street Hotel. The Beverage Manager must be passionate about great food, beverage and hospitality with the ability to lead, develop and motivate staff.
Certification in NYC Food Protection License required.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage floor service with focus on beverage, including leading hourly team in service training and beverage sales in all F&B venues in the Wall Street Hotel
  • Oversee beverage education, maintain all beverage pars and inventories, and collaborate with operations manager in purchasing and costing
  • Maintain beverage programs with correct pars, stocks, and up-to-date menus. Coordinate changes with outlet managers and Beverage Director
  • Create bar and sommelier schedules for all beverage floors (as needed) according to labor needs and budgeted goals and submit to direct manager by established deadlines
  • Oversee maintenance of bar systems including scheduling vendors to clean and maintain, training staff on standard operating protocols, and reported facilities issues
  • Ensure DOH safety precautions are followed in all bar and beverage areas of all F&B outlets
  • Review all EOs to ensure proper beverage stock and setups are in place
  • Ensure timely setup of all functions and adherence to food and beverage standards and guest requests through active communication with Events Department
  • Communicate information to the kitchen, bar, and other supportive departments prior to and during events.
  • Handling guest concerns while reacting quickly and professionally
  • Oversee beverage handling and ensure proper storage, safety and sanitation policies are being followed for on all floors by way of presence during services and relevant events
  • Training and development of beverage staff
  • Provide attentiveness and excellent service to VIP guests
  • Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution. Exercise good judgment and decision making in escalating concerns and proactively resolving issues
  • Prepare daily pre-shifts related to beverage
  • Conduct and review inventory weekly and maintain overall beverage cost of 19%
  • Attend daily F&B operations meetings as required
  • Responsible for compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes as well as Company safety and security policies

Subset Responsibilities:

  • Daily floor manager responsibilities including approving time punches, processing tip sheets and tip pools, sending nightly reports and completing opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Advise General Manager on any negative developing trends, with proposed action plan
  • Develop and audit SOPS regarding beverage life cycle
