This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Billing Rate Administrator to join our team. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working in Seattle, Portland, or Los Angeles.
This position is responsible for the system setup and maintenance pertaining to timekeeper, client, and matter rate arrangements. This position will report on and audit rates within the billing system and provide rate information to various teams within the firm. This position will also work with the Business Intake team to audit new client and matter rate setup and with the Billing/E-Billing teams to update and implement rate arrangements.

On a typical day you will:
- Serve as primary firm contact for attorneys seeking information about client and matter level rate arrangements
- Set up new timekeepers and maintain status of existing timekeepers in financial system
- Enter new or update existing client/matter billing rates; review and modify new matter intake where needed
- Review client engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines; update matters for compliance with listed requirements, including coding cost exceptions
- Produce Excel charts for the purpose of batch system rate loads
- Create and maintain an electronic folder/database of top client and matter rate arrangements
- Audit and maintain individual timekeeper rates
- Monitor end dates to existing client arrangements
- Monitor and maintain client volume discounts in the billing system
- Assist with year-end rate reviews for all clients and billing attorneys
- Communicate changes in arrangements to Business Intake and the billing team
- Work closely with E-Billing team to ensure proactive submission of timekeepers and rates to prevent invoice rejection
- Collect, monitor, and manage client deadlines for rate submission and pre-approval of rate increases
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Adhere to schedule by being timely on breaks, lunches and meetings

- Finance or Accounting Degree, or 3+ years relevant experience in an automated accounting department, preferred
- Demonstrated high level of ability to use MS Excel
- Knowledge of Elite Enterprise and/or Aderant software preferred
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must perform well under pressures of deadlines, heavy volumes, and requests
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently required
- Must be a team player and have ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Previous experience in a law firm or professional services organization, supporting a multi-office environment, preferred
- Ability to work overtime as needed

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $69,000 to $78,000 ($35.38 - $40.00 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
The annualized salary range for this position Los Angeles is $66,000 to $81,000 ($33.85-$41.54 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
