South Point Counseling Services is a growing mental health organization in search of a detail-oriented, fast-learning individual to join our billing team. As our Billing Specialist, you will have an many learning opportunities as well as potential for advancement. One year of experience in billing is preferred but training will be provided. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn and has a positive attitude. We offer flexible working schedule.

Responsibilities

-Provide assistance to Billing Supervisor as requested

-Manage daily patient aging accounts

-Handle collection patient accounts

-Submit appeals for insurance denials

-Verify patient insurance eligibility.

-Apply insurance payments accurately to patient accounts.

-Resolve unpaid claims and insurance payment discrepancies.

-Have basic financial math and accounting skills.

-Be able to work without supervision.

-Have excellent inter-office relation skills.

-Some collections experience is recommended, but not required.

Qualifications

-Must have excellent communication skills when dealing with insurance companies and patients.

-Must be task-oriented in order to resolve unpaid claims/balances from insurance aging reports.

-Able to pass the background check for the Utah DHS Office of Licensing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $33,500.00 per year
