VRC is seeking a Billing Specialist that is a highly organized, self-motivated individual who has the ability to handle billing / invoicing for a large company. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the day-to-day Accounting needs, with responsibilities in activities such as all aspects of accounts receivable, invoices, billing structures, and other accounting functions. As a key member of the VRC Accounting staff, the Billing Specialist will assist in all facets of the company pertaining to accounting. The Billing Specialist will complete tasks alone as well as with other team members under management supervision. All team members must have excellent computer skills, be able to multi-task, and problem solve. This position is a full-time position located in our corporate office in Denton, TX and will report to the VP of Finance.

The successful candidate will have related experience in one or more of the follow areas:

• 1-2 years’ billing/AR experience
• Previous accounting experience
• Meeting deadlines/multitasking
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field a plus

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Invoicing customers
• Understand and interpret various billing structures
• Review data and audit for accurate information
• Assist in ensuring tasks are completed on time
• Assist other team members in daily functions

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be highly motivated and possess the ability to work under little supervision
• Demonstrate ability to effectively manage time, organize multiple projects, and understand directives
• Strong Data Entry Skills
• Experience with Intacct is a plus.
• Previous experience in insurance claims handling or fraud investigations is a plus
• Ability to read, decipher and summarize information quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
• Must pass a drug test and pre-employment testing
• Upon hiring you must proficiently learn and utilize all electronic tools as required within the scope of this position to include the company's IMS case tracking system

Compensation:
VRC employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis at an hourly wage ($16.00 - $18.00/hr) to commensurate with experience.
