Position: Sr Project Engineer

This position is able to manage day-to-day engineering operations at the jobsite unaided. The Sr Project Engineer analyzes and interprets industry standards, provides technical support, and document control. In the role you must plan, d evelop, coordinate, supervise and monitor on-site construction engineering activities for the project and act as liaison with architect/engineer and owner regarding project progress and changes.

Responsibilities:
Provides technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues

Supports superintendents to ensure contractors maintain schedule in the field to include punchlist process and preparation of site logistics

Assists in processing submittals and RFI’s as needed

Supports Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders

Maintains project schedule through updates, implementing logic modifications and adding activities

Prepares meeting agendas and lead meetings

Assists with planning and managing site logistics

Enforces corporate safety policies on jobsite

Receives and reviews/evaluates contractor quotations for changes and process change orders

Manages plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities

Manages and mentors interns/or Engineers

Manages owner equipment coordination process

Requirements:
4 year Engineering, Construction Management or related degree required

3 to 5+ years of professional and/or related construction experience required

OSHA 30 Hour preferred

Well-organized, detail-oriented and ability to be self-directed to problem solve issues

Strong organizational skills applied to Document Control and Close Out

Strong proactive positive attitude with commitment to Safety

Must be flexible and adaptable team-player

Strong client services skills
