Compensation to include market salary (based on experience, plus commission and profit percentage.

The right candidate will have experience working in a body shop operation which includes driving, maximizing business hours for revenue growth, estimating and quoting repair estimates in the collision field; as well as other automotive understanding.

Experience centered around sales, customer service, and quality control is critical for this position. Experience in collission repair in a dealership setting, buying, repairing, and reselling of used vehicles is a plus. We will train the right person in any specific task as needed and on the systems used. The candidate selected will be able to offer the support and guidance of the staff to work efficiently and safely to meet the company objectives while supplying our customers with superior customer service.

A General Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business which includes all administrative tasks and ensuring in conjunction with shop management the completion of scheduled work in a safe and timely delivery with the highest quality.

Core Functions

List the core functions of the position:

  • Organize, schedule and create work orders. Get all authorizations and documentation on services provided.
  • Ensure that any services performed within the department follow company procedures.
  • Ensure that proper equipment is used for the specific service.
  • Quality control inspection of completed vehicles interior and exterior.
  • Payment handling and processing.
  • Coordinates customer scheduling.
  • Takes preventative steps to reduce disruptions to the service workflow.
  • Maximizes workload potential for days the shop is open with revenue generating opportunities.

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Work Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty exceptionally or ability to train and learn the processes. Has worked in a body shop environment managing employees for at least 5-years.

Industry Knowledge:

Familiar with all processes and procedures in an administrative role of a body shop for at least 5-years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
