Bar 10 Ranch is a small business conglomerate in Saint George, UT. We operate companies around agriculture and cattle ranching as well as hospitality and recreation connected to river rafting in the Grand Canyon. We also deal in Transportation, real estate, and lending. We are a family-owned business that has been in place since the 1970s.

Our firm is seeking a forward-looking, positive Accountant or experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for managing the firm's financial records and keeping them in order. They will also be responsible for analyzing financial records to ensure that the firm is staying within budget, communicating with stakeholders to identify and resolve potential issues, and preparing reports on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
• Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
• Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
• Maintains historical records by filing documents.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or working towards
• Previous bookkeeping experience preferred
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
