BREAKFAST CHEF/PREP COOK

We are looking for a Breakfast Chef/Prep Cook for our 10-room Inn to join our dynamic culinary team at Black Star Farms. Bring your culinary creativity to our guests providing a unique and exceptional experience at breakfast and hospitality hour. Assist the Banquet and Events Chefs in preparation for our many events. The Breakfast Chef position will be Saturdays and Sundays 6:00am - 2:00pm and the Prep Cook position will be Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10:00am - 5:00pm.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in associated industry or equivalent in experience and training
- Able to prepare and serve a high quality, composed farm to table style breakfast and uphold white tablecloth standards of food quality and service
- Must be able to work holidays
- Previous experience with commercial kitchen operations, working knowledge of food inventory management and cost control, experience with logistical coordination, problem resolution
- ServSafe Certifications, HAACP or working towards
EXPECTATIONS:
- Coordinate and prepare daily Inn breakfast and hospitality hour hors d'oeuvres.
- Supervise any kitchen personnel related to Inn breakfast and hospitality hour and assist with culinary activities and preparation for weddings and events.
- Maintain white table cloth presentation and quality standards for all food served at breakfast and hospitality hour.
- Track supply inventory weekly to ensure that all supplies are ordered, stocked and properly stored. This includes all food items, dishes and utensils, cleaning products, cooking supplies, and any other thing necessary for kitchen functioning.
- Ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively, written, verbally, and technologically.
- Ability to engage with Inn guests.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
