Summary: Skyline Champion Corporation is looking for a Business Analyst for its corporate office to develop and manage processes focused on improving business performance and provide insights to the management team. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in identifying and capturing material cost reduction opportunities, performing product profitability analysis for the company's US operations, maintaining and improving margin reporting tools, and sharing actionable findings with the leadership team and plants. The Business Analyst will act as an ambassador of sound business practices and modern business analytics approaches.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure current-state reporting capabilities are designed into the new Oracle ERP and Analytics environment.
- Design and manage profitability reports and dashboards. Summarize key takeaways and review results with operational leadership. Ensure current-state reports are replicated in the new Oracle ERP and Analytics environment.
- Implement strategies for future-state analytics in the Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse environment, including the creation and migration of business reports to the new ERP system and data warehouse. Train power users on new business analytics tools.
- Closely collaborate with procurement group to identify and capture material cost reduction opportunities including centralization of fragmented spend and tracking the implementation of standard parts.
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with plant personnel, facilitate adoption of business analytics tools, and manage training activities (including on-site training).
- Gain solid understanding of plant economics and accounting practices. Support Operational Excellence team in identifying opportunities to improve operations and track results of labor efficiency and Kaizen initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT, costing, and accounting staff in development of new business analytics tools. Apply critical thinking to resolve potential application and data integrity issues.
- Develop tools that assist in pricing for operational leadership, prepare presentations, share findings with leadership, and complete ad-hoc analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business analytics or related field
- A minimum of 3 years' related work / educational experience.
- Excellent ability to communicate meaningful report findings and make a compelling case for improvement.
- Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
- Internally and externally recognized subject matter expert that influence the way things are done
- Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software; experience with Oracle system and Fusion Analytics Warehouse is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of modeling in Excel and experience with advanced features (including pivot tables, data mining techniques, VB macros)
- Extensive knowledge of business analytics tools such as Power BI and Oracle Fusion analytics environment is a plus
- Experience working with various data cubes, extracting necessary information using R+, and developing performance dashboards

Location and travel:
This position will be based at the corporate office in Troy, MI. This position will require 5-10% travel.
