Under general supervision of the Business Analytics and Insights Delivery Manager, the Business Analytics Analyst II, handles data analysis and reporting needs across multiple business areas, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Finance etc.
Responsibilities
  • Drives analysis of business requirements related to reporting and analytics projects being built for functional business teams and transforms them into specifications or working prototypes.
  • Partners with IT team to build out new relational data objects and reporting capabilities to support the analytics requirements from the functional business teams such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, etc.
  • Utilizes reporting technology to query data sources to support adhoc analysis and data extracts requested by functional business leadership.
  • Uses data and reporting skills to derive new business insights and leverages relationship with business to drive action on insights.
  • Questions and validates data at all levels to ensure the business continues to trust the data being used to drive business actions.
  • Documents all business standards and procedures required to use analytics and reporting capabilities as well as integration issues with the many source data systems.
  • Challenges business norms and recommends new ways to evolve data to drive better business outcomes and discover faster ways to accomplish repeatable tasks.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Economics or Mathematics
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required
  • 2-4 years of data analytics and technology experience
  • 2-4 years of hands on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools
  • 2-4 years of experience working with Relational DB platforms (MSSQL is preferred) using SQL
  • Background in advanced data modeling and Cloud Data Platforms preferred
  • Knowledge of AS400 platform
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Power Point
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-directed and motivated, able to work independently on most projects
  • Ability to draw conclusions from analysis and recommend action plans
  • Knowledge of regression analysis, forecasting, and simulation modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in front of large groups
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
