Job description
Business Data & Reporting Analyst will support the university as we move forward with our digital data transformation. This role will help the university prepare for data governance and maintain the high standards needed as data governance matures within the university. The role will also support departments with data gathering technologies, techniques and training to make sure the university has the information needed to deliver high quality education. Specifically, the individual in this role will work within the universities departments and schools to advise and train report generating staff. Educate staff on proper data handing to ensure data privacy.

Minimum Qualifications

Help end users understand data structure within the Universitys ERP.
Trouble shoot issue with reporting tools (in ERP and others used by the University).
Setup one-on-one advisory sessions dealing with data and reporting tools.
Creating reports as needed.
Advise staff on how to share sensitive data by using approved University tools to meet the digital transformance goal. (Office 365 suite of tools).
Work with Data Governance group to advise on how to better manage Webster Universitys data.

Preferred Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

Be able to work with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in creating/Implementation of Power BI visualizations/reports and dashboards.
Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data management.
Develop reports based on department requests, user engagement, internal needs using applications like Cognos and InfoMaker.
Determine limitations of the current data model and implement enhancements to facilitate growth and the development of new features.
Experience with end-user training and support.
Bachelor's degree in information management, data analytics, computer science, or a similar field.
3+ years experience as a data specialist is preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and verify data from multiple formats.
In-depth knowledge of data retrieval and storage systems.
Ability to work independently on projects.
Knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
