About the Role

The Inside Sales team creates and maintains strong relationships with our brokerage partners and customers. We need business development staff to continue developing relationships with key agency partners and drive growth beyond the first bind.

The goal of the Associate BD role is to ensure that all agencies continue to drive revenue and receive high levels of professional service from the Coalition team. Their main focus will be to own agency level relationships and develop them into higher revenue generating partners.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth trajectory of key agencies
  • Develop highly effective sales relationships with key agency stakeholders
  • Exceed new business targets, create pipeline, and close business
  • Direct all post-sales activities for Coalition's broker partners through strong relationship-building, product knowledge, planning and actualization
  • Own the ultimate accountability for brokers' satisfaction with Coalition's services
  • Maintain a deep awareness of our solutions (insurance and technology) and speak with brokers about the most relevant features/functionality for their specific business needs
  • Identify risks to brokers achieving their stated business goals and work to resolve them
  • Monitor performance and identify trends in Coalition adoption and utilization and provide guidance to brokers as part of their periodic Success Review

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial insurance sales is required
  • Strong in-person, phone and written customer communication experience
  • Knowledge of how to make formal and informal presentations to staff and consumers
  • Strong computer experience required - knowledge of CRM systems a plus
  • Self-motivated spirit
  • Comfortable working in a start up environment
  • Aptitude to learn technical concepts and terms

Bonus Points

  • Current P&C (property & casualty) license
  • Familiarity with Cyber Liability and Technology E&O (errors & omissions).
  • Familiarity with retailer and wholesale brokers
  • Familiarity with D&O/EPL
  • RPLU or similar designation

  • Coalition's individual pay is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, location, level, skills and experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $69,000 - $80,000 plus commission, and your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process.
