As our Business Development Associate you will…

Be Accountable and Responsible

As a Business Development Associate on our Retail and Consumer Team, you will drive the Account Based Marketing (ABM) programs to introduce prospective clients to the MERGE brand and our service offerings. You will execute all lead generation activities against a predefined target account list and track all activities within Salesforce, Salesloft, and Marketo. You will act as a partner to the Business Development Leaders for the Retail and Consumer practices and initiate contact with prospective companies through a variety of mediums including but not limited to; Social Media, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 1:1 email, phone, and direct mail as needed. Utilizing a variety of inside sales techniques you will look for new ways to garner interest from prospective customers and companies. This position involves analysis of digital interactions and behaviors that may indicate interest in MERGE services. Consistent execution of ABM campaigns and the ability to identify which outreach tactics are working is critical to being efficient with your efforts to generate the highest number of qualified meetings.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage and document the sales cycle from lead to close within Salesforce.com.
  • Hunt for new leads and opportunities in greenfield accounts and through channel partners.
  • Effectively communicate MERGE value proposition within emails and phone calls to prospective customers.
  • Drive lead generation activities through direct 1:1 outreach, industry partners, account-based marketing programs, and pre and post-event activities.
  • Manage internal processes associated with lead nurture workflows and sales automation and messaging within Salesforce.com, Salesloft, and Marketo as appropriate.
  • Continuously manage a pipeline of prospects by effectively collaborating with business development, marketing, and other business partners to drive new leads and opportunities.

These are the qualifications we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, technology or digital marketing
  • Digital Marketing Agency experience is highly preferred
  • Great interpersonal communication skills and phone presence
  • Proven track record of success in goal-driven, metrics-based environment
  • Proven experience prospecting to accounts of all sizes, via channel and direct
  • Experience with team selling, demonstrating ability working with multiple resources to close business
  • Well versed in Salesforce.com and Marketo, Salesloft (or similar marketing automation system)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications; or equivalent work experience.

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000

Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training, and experience. MERGE's career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role and are promoted to the next level, generally during salary review cycles that are posted in the employee handbook.
