SmartTalent has an exciting Business Development Manager position available out of our Kirkland and Fife location. We are searching for a candidate that has the graceful gift of conversation and finds joy in building long lasting relationships that can mature quickly. Our partners supply essential business that keeps Washington’s economy moving forward and are looking for that SmartTalent with at least one year of proven business to business sales experience preferably in staffing or service related industry.

Prime candidate characteristics:

Has the ability to maximize the benefit of a flexible schedule to creatively generate revenue. You will be working in a team environment that allows open collaboration to deliver results by coordinating opportunities with vendors in an assigned territory who require employment placement in a multitude of fields specializing in administrative, office, customer service and call center, production, distribution, transportation, skilled labor, professional, onsite vendor management programs and more. Excellent communication skills & ability to build relationships creatively in a Business to Business style is key for the Business Development Manager who can deliver customized staffing solutions through a consultative sales approach. Deliver exceptional service and results to both our business client and temporary associates, thus enhancing our market presence and reputation. Availability to attend to client needs while living in our “new normal” will be a significant factor for this position that can result in gratifying compensation.

Basic Overview of Duties:

  • Prepare, present and write proposals and correspondence.
  • Build relationships and expand business with existing clients through various activities, which could include research, proposals, meetings, roundtable discussions, profiling departments and conducting service evaluations.
  • Meet with new accounts to review general business terms and conditions, conduct safety tours and service evaluations and follow-up with any corrective actions, if needed
  • Introduce, educate and set-up all accounts with the office team to ensure success.
  • Responsible for market strategies, revenue targets, account planning and positioning.
  • Attend networking, business association and community networking functions as needed.
  • Market top candidates for placement at existing client and prospect accounts.
  • Responsible for updates and additions to the SmartTalent Direct Mail program; maintaining their own market place spreadsheet for monthly submittal when directed.
  • Maintain complete sales records in system and complete reports as needed for the business client.
  • Complete weekly reporting for management, as directed.
  • Assist with recruiting, screening, interviewing and the placement of potential temporary associates as needed during the week, evenings and weekends, when needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary $50k-$65k (DOE) & Uncapped Commissions
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays (Incl. Your Birthday)
