SUMMARY

The Senior Business & Clinical Intelligence Project Manager is responsible for leading cross functional teams in order to deliver superior customer-centric solutions. The Sr PM should demonstrate an understanding for complex ideas, attentive listening and clear written and verbal communication at all organizational levels. The Sr PM should also demonstrate leadership qualities by leading a project team through the phases of a project, take responsibility for any obstacles, and make sure that these problems are resolved. This person should also fulfill a customer facing role in which she/he manages the customer relationship by building and maintaining a level of trust with the customer, serves as a customer advocate by committing to meet the expectations of the customer, and offers guidance and support in analyzing and solving customer problems. The role requires the ability to: act independently as needed, provide leadership in delivering results for the organization and managing limited resources, demonstrate business acumen and a solutions mindset, rapidly assimilate and apply new information or knowledge, and demonstrate creativity and ingenuity in developing solutions to difficult delivery problems. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Business & Clinical Intelligence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business, health care or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant working experience, preferably in the Healthcare IT industry .
  • 7+ years of experience in project management.
  • Previous work experience in the health care industry.
  • Has managed several full life cycle BI projects.
  • Project planning and implementation skills including reporting and directing the work of others.
  • Experience implementing projects using Lean/Agile/Scrum methods.
  • Experience developing budget estimates for project proposals
  • Three (3) years direct experience in overseeing IT projects and following project methodologies
  • One (1) year direct experience in overseeing business intelligence projects
  • Business Intelligence: Managed one or more full life cycle BI projects. Can contribute in crafting BI solutions (e.g. BI Roadmaps). Familiarity with data architecture and components (EDW, ETL, Reporting, etc.).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Direct large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external customers and matrix partners through all phases of the SDLC.
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, & reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
  • Experience desired in program management and/or portfolio management, overseeing multiple interrelated component projects and balancing competing priorities / resource needs against overall benefits delivery.
  • PMP required
  • Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum) certification desired.
