Job description
The role of the business manager is the management of all business related activities at the campus. This involves working closely with the Campus President, Student Financial Service Department and the Bursars office.
Business Manager must have a Master's degree in Accounting or Business and 3 to 5 years of experience.
The business manager, while working closely with the campus president, will keep a pulse on the campus budget and cash flow. On a monthly basis the business manager will review the budget set with actual results. Working with student financial services and the bursar office the business manager will forecast accounts receivable and student population activity.
The business manager role encompasses overseeing the activity of the student financial service office and the bursar office regarding the scheduling and disbursing of the funds for new and continuing students. This includes coordination of the pre registration process and the accuracy of the activities conducted in the finance area of the campus.
The Business Manager accomplishes this through:
- Working closely with student financial services to better assist students regarding their funding and account status
- Supervises Bursar to ensure the accurate processing of tuition billing for the current and prior cohorts of that semester
- Oversees the Bursar and Financial Aid Department
