• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
• Remove used tableware.
• Clear tables after guests.
• Check floor and clean as required.
• Sweeps and mops restaurant floors.
• Sweeps and vacuums carpets and floor mats.
• Removes trash from within the restaurant area and disposes in appropriate container.
• Picks up and disposes in dumpster all trash from the parking lot and landscape area.
• Polishes all brass items using designated cleaning agent and equipment.
• Inspect restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as needed.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to as needed.
• Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
• Assist host as needed, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
• Thank guests as they are leaving.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
• Be able to work in loud, fast-paced environment for long periods of time.
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
• Dressed and ready to work 10 minutes before shift begins.
