AWNEX manufactures and installs Bolt-On architectural metal systems, including awnings & canopies. Principle Responsibilities:

Proficient in AutoCAD, with some Inventor/Solidworks experience, to create architectural element drawings that generate production Bill of Materials consistent with industry standard conventions meeting customer expectations. Effectively communicate ideas through precise drawings and specifications necessary to complete work.

Duties:

o Communicate customer expectations

o Review provided architectural plans and product specifications to ensure that we are meeting their expectations

o Ability to communicate ideas back to customer through detailed drawings

o Drawings

o Assist to maintain standard architectural element part drawings

o Provide accurate shop drawings and proper installation instructions

o Track all drawings related to jobs in their specific folders and maintain that they are available in AWNEX’s database.

o Drawing Conventions

o Know and understand the company’s drawing conventions

o Keep drawings consistent within drafting department

o Use and help maintain drawing templates for all projects

o Bill of Materials

o Provide a complete bill of materials for all projects

o Ensure all material specifications are listed

o Provide part numbers for all relative product parts

o Teamwork/Leadership

o Assist other CAD Drafters with understanding the concepts & designs

o Answer questions for the shop, project management, architects & contractors when needed

o Develop CAD & BOM templates for other Drafters to use for production work

o Maintain standard account templates to stay current for production use

o Attend meetings to discuss changes in standards & communicate concerns & questions

o Assist in design &development of new products and/or account drafting templates

o Assist in redesign of current product lines if/when necessary

o Help aid sales and estimating teams with product questions/descriptions to

customers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.51 - $28.00 per hour
