POSITION: Cage Clerk
LOCATION: Baraga, Ojibwa Casino
WAGE: $16.00/hr
STATUS: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the general clerical duties of the cage office operations including other duties as assigned. The non-exempt position generally works day shifts but may occasionally work other shifts as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma, GED or High School Certificate of Completion is required.
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming licensed throughout employment.
3. Must be at least 18 years old.
4. Two (2) years secretarial or Cage experience, typing skills of 45-50wpm and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience are necessary.
5. Working knowledge of office equipment operation, including computer, copier, fax machines as well as demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
6. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent customer/employee relation skills are required. Must be able to work independently under general instructions and have the demonstrated ability to use discretion and sound judgment. Accuracy, productivity, dependability and a good attendance record are essential attributes.
7. The individual must be able to deal with the general public and fellow employees with tact, courtesy, respect, objectivity and maturity.· Enters and compiles a variety of reports, including revenues, coin sales, asset inventories, vault and employee over/short totals.
· Maintains and updates employee files, including entering and recording over/short totals, reprimands, evaluations, and miscellaneous items (Physician’s slips, probations, wage increases, etc.)
· Responsible for general filing.
· Distributes and files incident reports.
· Responsible for ordering, maintain accurate supply inventories and distributing them as needed.
· Prepares and process routine cage correspondence, including typing memos, letters, confidential material and miscellaneous items.
· Responsible for compiling scheduling.
· Attends staff meetings to transcribe and publish minutes.
· Handles matters of a routine nature such as receiving, screening and routing phone calls, scheduling appointments, notifying attendees, scheduling employment interviews and preparing agendas as directed.
· Receives and distributes incoming mail, assemble correspondence for mailing; receives and transmits material using the fax machine.
· Resolves routine problems and refers other problems to the appropriate level for resolution.
· Organizes and expedites the flow of work through the office.
· Carries out special projects and assignments as requested by supervisor.
· Performs all other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and occasionally sit, bend/stoop, carry up to twenty four (24) pounds and lift up to fifty (50) pounds. May occasionally reach above shoulder level.
2. Must be able to tolerate varying levels of noise, dust and/or smoke.
3.
