Camp Victory AVL Technician/Grounds Crew
Position Status: Full Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
As an Audio/Visual/ Lighting Technician your job is to manage volume levels, sound quality, lighting and video presentation during Victory Mannford ministry events. Proficiency with digital or analog mixing consoles, conventional and moving fixtures as well as video presentation software and hardware. The AVL Technician is responsible for all aspects of the live production assigned. Excellence is pivotal and will require advanced planning and research for how to continually fine-tune all areas of production. As an AVL Technician you should seek to be proactive instead of reactive always anticipating potential problems and areas for improvement.
The Camp Victory Grounds Crew is responsible for to ensure that the campgrounds are safe, attractive, and orderly, to provide a pleasant environment. The camp Grounds Crew will assist the in events set-up and tear-down as well as routine cleaning and maintenance duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain audio, video, lighting and production related equipment.
- Operate digital audio consoles for campus services and special events.
- Operate Mac and PC computers.
- Operate Pro-Presenter software and other presentation software.
- Assist in stage strikes and setups.
- Manage wireless system operation, tuning and maintenance.
- Ensure all technical aspects of a service are prepared and operating properly.
- Design, implement and install new technical systems for other venues and campuses.
- Maintain safe operation of all audio, video and lighting systems across all campuses.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in all booths, stages and production workspaces.
- Maintain backline equipment.
- Attend and participate in service rehearsals, sound checks and staff meetings.
- Patrols property and remove any trash and/or debris from walkways, flower beds, parking lots, fields, and any other Camp Victory property that may be assigned by the Camp Director.
- Operates large power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance activities.
- Operates pick-up truck and golf carts for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal.
- Performs minor maintenance and repair on as required.
- Assists in the maintenance of grounds and other surfaces as required.
- Shovels and removes snow and ice from designated areas such as roofs, sidewalks, and entryways as required. May operate various snow removal equipment.
- Set-up and tear-down of all scheduled areas as outlined by the Camp Director.
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
- Keep grounds and facility clean and organized daily.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Camp Victory Director or Camp Victory Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be proficient with audio-visual equipment, computers, presentation software.
- The ability to work independently, identifying resources and make independent decisions.
- Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Motivated to acquire new technical skills and knowledge.
- Flexible hours for availability (including evenings and weekends).
- Positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image.
- Ability to read chemical labels.
- Diligence and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and high energy levels.
- Knowledge of equipment, tools, and procedures of grounds construction and care.
- Skill in operating grounds maintenance and grounds construction equipment.

- Physical exertion such as standing, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting and reaching; and walk a short to long distances on moderately to extreme steep terrain without difficulty.

- Sighted with capacity for both color and distance:
- Full range of hearing able to detect audio anomalies;
- Speaking and oral communications.
- Considerable use of arms, legs and whole body;
- Occasional climate extremes of hot or cold;
