The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Campus Director of Education to lead a growing team of faculty at its DC Metro Area campus. In this rewarding role you will lead a team of experienced faculty with real-world experience in the field of aviation maintenance while they guide our students to graduation. You’ll also work alongside other campus leadership to ensure our students receive the best training possible while simultaneously focusing on the student’s educational and career outcomes.

AIM currently operates 14 aviation maintenance campuses around the country. We enroll 4,000 out of the roughly 20,000 students attending A&P schools nationwide (20%), and while there are 175 colleges around the country that are certified by the FAA to teach these programs, the 14 AIM schools produce nearly 1 out of every 4 certified aircraft technicians each year in America!

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Supervising all instructors and education support staff on campus
  • Serving as the liaison between the campus and the corporate program directors who manage education
  • Auditing all school curricula to ensure that instructors are using the most up-to-date syllabi
  • Act as the campus point of contact with the FAA FSDO office
  • Responsible for all FAA related reporting criteria and requirements from the FAA Operations Manual
  • Assisting with the organization and facilitation of all Program Advisory Committee meetings
  • Facilitating ongoing instructor development with educational personnel

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certification is highly preferred.
  • MUST be able to work flexible hours, including evening or weekends
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • CampusVue and SharePoint experience a plus
  • Experience in private-for-profit college education highly desirable

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
