Campus Worship Leader

The purpose of Trinity Reformed Church is Connect people with God, each other, and the world. The Campus Worship Leader is a part time role that will serve 6-8 hours per week leading worship at one of our two campuses in Hospers and Orange City.


I. QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
B. Appropriate skills and training in music and worship leadership.

C. Organizational ability.
D. Interpersonal skills to teach and empower worship volunteers


II. RELATIONSHIPS AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
A. Works directly with the Director of Worship and in partnership with the other staff members of the church, with final accountability to the Leadership Team.

B. Is accountable to the Elders for faith and life.
C. Receives annual appraisal from the HR Team.


III. SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Work with the Director of Worship to schedule volunteers through Planning Center as well as the recruiting and training of new volunteers.
  • Work with the Director of Worship to plan worship services, introduce new music, and include scripture, prayers, and liturgy that enhance worship.
  • Lead mid-week rehearsals as well as Sunday morning run throughs at either the Orange City or Hospers campus.
  • Lead the congregation in worship.
  • Other specific tasks may be negotiated with the Director of Worship and other Worship staff on a week to week basis depending on time availability and skillset. Some examples of these could include:
    • Set up and organization of tracks
    • creation of tracks in Ableton Live
    • ProPresenter creation.
    • AV, stage, and other set up.
    • Work with mainstage/Helix patches.
    • Arranging music for different instrumentation.
    • Assistance in creative media (such as video, images, sets, etc.)

V. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Cultivate worship creativity in the congregation. Use the gifts of the body and the new resources to aid in unleashing the church for magnifying God.
B. Participate in community, area and denominational educational opportunities and programs as appropriate.
C. Other responsibilities as may be assigned.
