Job Description

The Processing Specialist is responsible for processing, organizing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products in preparation for distribution. In this role, maintaining accuracy in weighing, filling product, labeling, and inventory is paramount. The Processing Specialist is also responsible for maintaining a perpetually clean workspace. The ideal candidate has a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and can work well alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Mixing product formulations in accordance with our specifications and SOPs
• Filling, capping, and cleaning vape cartridges
• Package concentrates, MIPs, and plant material into proper containers with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations
• Manage time efficiently in order to meet goals while consistently producing quality product
• Sanitation & cleanup of all processing areas and equipment throughout the day
• Monitor, measure, and record precise product weight and total units produced
• Measure and document any potential product waste accurately
• Maintain strict quality standards while hitting daily production goals
• Maintaining a safe work area and adhering to all safety protocols.
• Ability to adhere to all production SOP’s for a variety of different products
• Maintain proper utilization of Personal Protective equipment (PPE), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and emergency response procedures (fire, medical, and theft)
• Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company maintain success

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED required
• Professional experience in a fast paced, hands-on work environment
• 1+ years working in production environment preferred
• Experience processing medical cannabis or other botanicals highly desirable
• ServSafe or OSHA-10 certification preferred
• Must work well in a group and independently; demonstrate self-motivation and initiative
• Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry, including required background check
• Must possess valid driver's license or state ID card
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to perform the same task over 8-hour work periods with great efficiency and without losing quality
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Proactive attention to cleaning and sanitation

Working Conditions

• This is a hands-on, cannabis production position. You will be working in an indoor production facility with industrial lighting and occasional exposure to industrial noise
• Plant material and particulate is present on surfaces and in the air, extraction fumes may also be present; proper use of PPE at all times is of paramount importance
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus
• Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 60 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and product
