SWBC is seeking a talented individual to provide entry-level expertise in the development of Captiva OCR applications and software. Develop methodologies and technologies such as language, database, and support tools. Develop and test hardware/software environments; collaborates with application development staff; and projects workload for the agency.
Essential duties include the following:
- Provides hands-on technical support and expertise for the Enterprise Content Management COE project delivery team.
- Provides planning, configuring, supporting, and managing large scale Captiva deployments, both on premise and potentially off premise.
- Assists testing and production support teams with troubleshooting and problem remediation.
- Ensures all work activities are in compliance and align with best practices in capture, ingestion and retrieval of content, document and data recognition automation, content integrity, and interfaces to core systems.
- Provides ad-hoc reporting and decision support required for management decision processes.
- Collaborates with IT on special projects as needed.
- Writes clear illustrative documentation that demonstrates implementation details.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in designing and developing solutions for imaging platforms using Open Text Captiva 7.5+ software suite, and Captiva Capture Flow Designer is preferred.
- Experience in Analyzing business requirements, developing new or enhancing the existing programs and applications.
- Experience in Development with C# or .Net and consuming REST API's for business logic integration of .Net module with Captiva.
- Working knowledge of programming language.
- Strong understanding of software engineering tools.
- Initial understanding and Architectural Experience in Open Text Captiva in Scale Server environment.
- Working knowledge Captiva module configurations for Standard Import and Email Import modules (MDW), Completion, Identification, OPEX Import, Classification, Recognition, ScanPlus and Documentum Advanced Export preferred.
- Proficient OCR with reference to insurance industry.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
- Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
