JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Berks is accepting applications for the position of Coordinator of Job Development and Internships .
Responsible for the development of employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students/alumni. Develop and coordinate campus recruitment programs, workshops, and educational programs to assist students with their search for full-time positions and internships.
This is a HR105 FTE position with July 15 to August 15 months off .
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with employers to secure internships and job opportunities for students and recent graduates.
Counsel and advise students seeking career guidance and/or information regarding internships, externships, summer employment, and cooperative education opportunities.
Facilitate internships and full-time hiring opportunities for students and recent graduates.
Organize career fairs, networking events, and other recruitment opportunities for students.
Work with academic departments to incorporate career development into curriculum and programming.
Track and report on career development and internship outcomes.
Maintain the university-wide database for the campus; keep abreast of all pieces of training, changes, and improvements to the system.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience in career development, internship coordination, or related field.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and employers.
Familiarity with career development software and databases.
Ability to learn career-related technology and stay abreast of changes therein.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
