Job description

Part-Time for Saturday 3pm-11pm; Sunday 3pm-11pm; and/or Monday 3pm-11pm. Please Apply if you are available for any of these shifts if you are not available for all of them. Part-time caregiver for special needs adult with non-verbal autism and epilepsy + some challenging behaviors (occasional mild aggression).

This position will be doing some of these things:

1) Will be typically working with a team of 2 (but there will be times when you will be expected to work 1:1 for a higher hourly rate)
2) Eyes on supervision of client - interacting with client by participating in games/puzzles/ if client is awake.
3) Seizure first aid ready
4) Observe client to make sure client is safe throughout the night into the morning.
5) May be required to prepare a small breakfast for client at 6am if client is awake.
6) Will be required to conduct some small personal hygiene duties (helping client wash her hands, wiping after bathroom use (baby wipes/gloves etc.)
7) Attending to seizures and other medical situations (emergencies) when they present themselves.
8) Follow client wherever client walks within the home for eyes on supervision.
9) Journal entry - documenting events that may occur overnight.

This position will require some overtime during unforeseen circumstances.
Ability to pass a background Live Scan check FBI/DOJ
This position will require the ability to lift 40 lbs on a regular basis.
This position will require the ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
This position will require the ability to bend/reach for things etc.

This position requires someone with patience.
