Position is for a Prison Based Case Manager at John H Lilly Correction Center

a. Responsible to provide substance abuse curriculum, based group psychosocial rehabilitation in the prison setting. Maintain the clinical records system in accordance with DOC and CREOKS rules and regulations.

b. Responsible for Attend and regularly present cases in the treatment team meetings. To read and be knowledgeable of all current CREOKS policies and procedures. Maintain and attend all DOC required training
c. Responsible for understanding and following all of the administrative, clinical and programmatic policies and procedures of the CREOKS and DOC
d. Responsible for providing Psychiatric Social Rehabilitation Services, as assigned by Supervisor to DOC clients.
e. Responsible for attending and presenting cases in the treatment team staffing conferences.
f. Responsible for maintaining full time caseload as assigned by the Site Director and DOC
g. Responsible for billing documentation- to be completed on a daily basis and clinical documentation to be completed daily preferably, but no later than the beginning of the next work day
h. Responsible for necessary interaction with inmates, DOC staff and DOC Program Coordinator. i. Responsible to implement rehabilitative curriculum and develop support materials based on best practices and evidenced based treatment models, as approved by DOC j. Responsible to participate in mandatory trainings such as CAPE and CPR, etc. k. Responsible to teach Rehabilitative skills permitted through curriculum designated by DOC. This service includes educational and supportive services regarding independent living skills, self-care, social skills regarding development, lifestyle changes and recovery practices and principles. Treat all types of clients within the community based on level of staff competency.

Qualifications/Competencies Required

Case Management II certification must be obtained prior to hire

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a mental health related field or a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years supervised experienced in a treatment setting. Maintain current case management certification Basic knowledge and understanding of developmental stages Basic knowledge and understanding of treatment modalities, i.e. individual, group, family and applicable clinical skills. Excellent verbal, written communication skills. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Job Type: Full-time
