POSITION SUMMARY:

Facilitate didactic groups and provide case management services for the clients of The Salvation Army Harbor Light.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor degree in social work or an equivalent comparable human services field is required
• Must possess MCBAP credential (CADC, CADC-M, CAADC) or approved Development Plan within 2 weeks of hire date
• Minimum 6 months experience in Case Management and facilitating Mental Health/SUD lectures
• Ability to determine needs and to work with multi-problem individuals
• Ability to develop rapport, trust, and confidence in client relationships is necessary
• Excellent computer skills required
• Experience using electronic medical records system preferred
• Must possess good communication skills and teamwork skills
• Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approved by The Salvation Army MVR
• T.B Test and police clearance required

JOB DUTIES

• Conducts didactics/educational lectures
• Maintain case records in accordance with Harbor Light standards
• Serve as Case Manager to treatment clients
• Assists clinical staff with various tasks as assigned (i.e. make packets, assist clients with nonclinical issues, etc.)
• Participates in the review of all clinical issues, activities and program policies and procedures
• Attends all clinical staff meetings, and team conferences
• Participates in educational courses, seminars, workshops, current literature and in-service meetings to enhance treatment skills
• Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission Statements
• Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light Policies and Procedures
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
• HIPAA - Level 1 access to Clinical Records

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift 10 pounds
• Frequent sitting for long periods of time.
• Capability to visually inspect packages, equipment, and fixtures, as well as observe people and events
• The ability to hear and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and or handwrite.
• Capability to use standard office machines like copiers and fax machines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,740.00 - $56,170.00 per year
