Cashiers are responsible for processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Managing transactions with customers using a register
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Collecting payments whether it is cash or credit
- Issue receipts, change, and refunds
- Cross-sell products
- Greeting customers with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Resolve customer complaints
- Maintaining clean and tidy checkout area
- Bag groceries
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift, repeated bending, squatting, twisting and stretching, repeatedly lifting up to 25 lbs
- Repetitive arm and hand movements
- Requires transferring product either horizontally or vertically of up to 25 lbs
- Requires moving grocery carts of up to 35 pounds
