Job description
Taylor & Norvell, LLC is seeking self-motivated Class A CDL drivers to join our team! Drivers will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 lbs Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Job description will require drivers to haul materials and/or equipment with a belly dump, end dump, lowboy, gooseneck, and/or any other type of trailer necessary. Heavy equipment operating skills a pulse, but not required. Multiple locations with home daily routes and travel positions available. Benefits include health insurance and 401K after 90 days. Well maintained newer model Sleeper trucks with upgraded interiors or day cabs available. $18-$25 per hour starting pay, depending on experience, overtime pay.
Responsibilities:
● Operate a tractor-trailer truck safely
● Load and unload cargo and or equipment safely
● Report any issues or incidents
● Inspect truck before and after trip
● Maintain tractor-trailer, check fluids and tire pressures daily, and add fluid/air when needed
● Maintain and/or minor repair of problems with tractor-trailer including routine maintenance, when necessary.
● Operate heavy equipment
● Perform any and all other duties assigned
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
● Have a valid Class A Commercial driver's license and maintain it during employment
● Ability to handle a physical workload with the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
● Must be able to operate a manual transmission without restrictions
● Mechanical knowledge and ability to maintain tractor-trailer
● Self-Motivated
● Have a good work ethic and the ability to show up to work or dispatched location on time
● Ability to stay organized, fill out, and keep up with any required paperwork
● Pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to a random drug testing program
