Overview

The prime objective of the Hannibal Plant Electrical Supervisor is to support the needs of the electrical and provide electrical expertise and support to all company departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and company policies.
    • Ensure that work is being performed in a safe manner and is in accordance with NEC and NFPA70E standards.
    • Cover 24 hour on-call duties as directed by the Electrical Coordinator.
    • Assist with capital projects where electrical support is required, and shall coordinate activities with other departments, as necessary.
    • Provide electrical support to any/all company departments and management as directed by the Electrical Coordinator.
    • Fill in for the Electrical Coordinator as needed to cover absences.
    • Assist the Electrical Department employees in completion of routine, outage, and emergency electrical work as directed by the Electrical Coordinator.
    • Assist the Electrical Departments employees in troubleshooting any electrical issues that arise.
    • Inspects work of employees and takes corrective action, as necessary.
    • Develop and implement training regimens for existing and new equipment, as directed by the Electrical Coordinator.
    • Ensure that effective inspection and preventative maintenance is done on production equipment, buildings and grounds in a timely manner.
    • Designs and/or assists in the designing of new electrical systems, the installing of new equipment and/or equipment modifications.
    Ensures a proper inventory of electrical and electronics maintenance parts, tools, and supplies are maintained

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years electrical maintenance experience in heavy industry.
  • Above average computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team to ensure continuous improvement in their functional area as well as the overall plant operations.
  • Must be able to meet on-call responsibilities in a 24/7 operation.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to evaluate and facilitate repairs to electrical motors, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Must have good leadership skills.
  • Must display good employability skills (attendance, job performance, attitude, willingness to work, etc.).
