Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• Ability to manage, train develop, direct and maintain interpersonal relationships with staff and residents.
• Responsible for development and maintaining MDS (RAPs and triggers), nutritional histories and assessments on all residents.
• Documents progress notes on all residents of progress of nutritional status and coordinates with the Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team in care plan development.
• Responsible for making decisions, organizing, motivating staff, use of materials and equipment in a manner to obtain cooperation and efficient use of resources.
• Supervises Cooks and Dietary aide staff on a daily basis.
• Coordinates with the Consultant Registered Dietitian
• Accountable for the proper storage of all food and supplies used by the dietary department.
• Ensures that all food preparation follows required sanitation procedures and meets requirements of Food Handling procedures.
• Communicates with nursing staff regarding nutritional status of residents and provides recommendations needed to meet resident identified needs.
• Responsible for the ordering of supplies and food
• Maintain proper budget and Staff PPD

Requirements:

• Experience in a long-term care setting
• Successful completion of a state-approved food safety manager course
• Successful completion of an approved state food service supervisor course
