Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Shift: Day

Job Description:

• Performs EKG with the guidance of a licensed Medical Provider. Performs light administrative duties, such as copying and filing. Participates in health fairs or community events on weekends as requested 3-4 times a year.
• Provides patient care and/or support activities appropriate to ages served; primarily adults ages 18-65 or geriatric patients over age 65. May also include care for infant 0-1 year, child ages 1-12 years or adolescent ages 13-17 years.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of medical technical school preferred.
• CMA required.
• CPR certification required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Six months to one-year previous experience in health related area required.
• Experience in phlebotomy, conducting basic lab procedures, and client education is required.
• Experience and knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA and CLIA guidelines.
• A safe driving record and valid GA driver’s license required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
