• TUITION FREE PROGRAM for external/internal MHC team members with the interest in a .8 (64 hour) or 1.0 (80 hour) status
• Earn $18.00 per hour until certified
• Full-time Openings Include: 6:30AM-3:00PM or 2:30PM-11:00PM::

The Certified Nursing Assistant in Training will provide support to the Certified Nursing Assistants, household(s), and residents with the intent to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This care will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement and regulations.:

PROGRAM DETAILS:

• NO COST TO THE TEAM MEMBER (valued at $1,400, including textbooks).:
• Cohort will run from June 21 - August 04, 2023!:
• Classes held three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• The classes will be held from 7:00AM-2:30PM; Clinical hours from 6:30AM-2:30PM (detail provided by MHC HR Recruiter).
• Located at the Eastern Mennonite University – Lancaster Campus: 1846 Charter Lane, Lancaster, PA 17601
• Paid $18.00 per hour while attending class.:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to obtain PA Nurse Aide Certification.
• Must complete or have completed an instructor led Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Responsible to receive a Nurse Aide Certification and membership on the PA Nurse Aide Registry within 120 days upon course completion.:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Passes water and ice to residents on assigned households, linens (towels and washcloths), and any bed linen. Assists with bed changes on resident shower days and or if soiled, assigned by the Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Responsible to restock resident rooms with ADL supplies, gloves, etc.
• Answers call bells and assist with non-direct care needs as able. Communicates resident direct care needs in a timely manner to the Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Serving of meals and snacks, assist those with feeding who require assistance; provide fluids.
• Provides resident nail care by filing and painting.:
