Job Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) supports the vision and mission of the Genesee Intermediate School District by being responsible for assisting the occupational therapist in the assigned area of responsibility to administer treatment programs for students. Performs direct treatment for students under the direction of a registered occupational therapist in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by a physician.
Available:
One (1) full-time position available; 7.0 hours per day, 193 days per year including holidays (balanced calendar).
Salary:
Range $20.44 - $26.18. A competitive salary schedule featuring educational pay lanes and steps. Years of service will be considered. Genesee Intermediate Educational Support Personnel Association (GIESPA).

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma/equivalent and graduate of an approved program for occupational therapist assistants required. State of Michigan registration to work as a certified occupational therapist required.
Experience: Two years of experience working with special education students preferred.
