DESCRIPTION
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), Springville NY
Full Time Days
Compensation is based on experience. Starting at $22.21 per hour.
As a key member of our Therapy team, the COTA administers Occupational Therapy procedures and physical agents under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and/or Registered OTR; assists patients to prepare for treatment; and assists Certified Nursing Assistants and nursing staff with daily living needs. The COTA participates in Family Healthcare Meeting, education to resident’s family, and participates in daily meetings; Performs Range of Motion (ROM), ambulation, assists with care plans and discharge needs, reports patient condition and progress to OTR, and implements improvements to quality of care within the Rehabilitation team.
Requirements include
- High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- NYS Certification as Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
