Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
Job description
The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist provides support to individuals from a substance abuse lived experience perspective in both individual and group formats. Able to utilize the Wellness and Recovery Action Plan model. Assists with welcoming new individuals into the center from a living room model perspective. Assists the Case Managers where needed with linkages to services and assists with transport. Must have a driver’s license and be able to drive an agency vehicle. Position requires travel to consumer’s residences.
Legacy Treatment Services' Integrated Care Clinic will serve residents of Atlantic County, New Jersey. The project will provide outpatient mental health and substance use counseling, person-centered treatment planning, case management services, peer support services, outpatient primary care screening and monitoring services, services for veterans, and crisis services.
Hours:
This is a 40 hour full time position, Monday – Friday, with some evenings required.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field with lived experience in substance use. Must either have a certification to work as a peer specialist or be willing to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
