Charge Nurse - Med/Surg/Tele

• Education:

Graduated from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
BLS required

• Licensure/Certification:

Additional Requirements based upon department:
Critical Care/Tele: ACLS required, TNCC within one year of hire for primary ICU RN, CCRN preferred
Acute Care: PALS within (2) two years of hire; ACLS and CMSN preferred
Current applicable OR RN license required

• Experience:

Six months nursing experience or successful completion of nursing internship program preferred.
Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.

• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Experience with using every day technology tools (e.g, email, Microsoft Office, voicemail, internet/intranet to access, organize and store job-related information.
