Crest View Sr. Communities is seeking a Chef/Cook to join our amazing team of dedicated employees at our Blaine Campus. Crest View's Blaine campus is an Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care facility. In this role as a Chef/Cook, there are no late evenings! The meaningful work our culinary team does at Crest View makes a difference in the lives of our residents. In this role, the cook will be allowed some creativity in the role when making meals from scratch, will determine appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements, and will assist in food procurement. Additionally, this role will have additional light administrative duties and maintain a clean and safe work environment and may assist in the supervision of the Dining Services staff in the absence of the direct supervisor. The hours for this full-time position are 10:30am - 7:00pm and include working every other weekend and some holidays.

The ideal candidate must have had some formal or on-the-job training in food preparation, and in cooking. Additionally, will demonstrate experience and familiarity with foods and preparation methods. Two to three years of training and experience in quantity food preparation is also desired. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must be Serve Safe Certified or be willing to get certified. Must be knowledgeable in principles and requirements of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
