Would you like to provide support services to foster and adoptive families? We are looking for people who are willing to engage with families and establishing a strengths-based relationship. The person will also assist the Child and Family Team for the purpose of implementing the Plan of Care that is family centered, community oriented, strengths-based, and highly individualized.

Some functions include:

  • Meeting families where they are at and provide parents and children with a safe environment that will promote a stronger emotional family connection.
  • Assess and identify areas of concern for both parents and children and address them in a nurturing loving way using the Post method.
  • Encourage communication of emotions and feelings with parents and children.
  • Coach one-on-one with a child or group of children, or parents, as necessary.
  • Assess the day of the parents and the children to support processing of challenging situations.
  • Encourage fun, so that learning becomes a natural part of the process.
  • Demonstrate the qualities of Mindfulness, Regulation, and Understanding, that of a positive role model for parents and children.

Qualities we are looking for in an applicant:

  • A reliable individual that will help reduce the stress in the family.
  • Someone who is creative in ways to meet the family's needs.
  • Someone who can work independently with a family as well as consult with a team.
  • An individual who has had experience working with stressful/difficult situations.
  • Someone who is able to meet families in their homes or other designated destinations.

Please be ready to provide 3 references and a letter of recommendation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
