The Children's Art Party Specialist is a delightful and enthusiastic team player with strong leadership qualities and a propensity to take ownership of the various aspects of parties and events that are held at all of the MC locations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead and support in-person parties and events at MC Studio and MC Mobile Parties on the weekends.
• Review the parties and events calendar for upcoming events; Ensure inventory levels are sufficient for all parties on calendar
• Prepare art materials to specification according to MC standards
• Take weekly inventory of birthday party materials/essentials
• Clean, organize, and maintain the Shop/ Making Space as a whole; FOH and BOH duties included
• Serve in an administrative support capacity; Answer telephone calls, answer basic questions about MC offerings, assist with incoming deliveries and outgoing packages, assist with packing and shipping outgoing orders, communicate via email and Slack as necessary
• Support the additional needs of the Studio and Making Space through the completion of production-related tasks such as preparing materials for classes, events, and our in-house produced art kits.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a party and/or events support capacity, i.e, catering, children’s birthday parties, event production, etc.
• Prior experience or interest in working with children ages 2-13 and their families
• Experience completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to maintain healthy communication; Must be a strong communicator to support our small team
• Excellent customer service skills
• Quality control and attention to detail
• Values punctuality and integrity in all your work tasks
• Self starter who is able to work well independently and multi-task with ease and confidence
• Appreciation for process art

Requirements:

• Mandatory weekends are required to fulfill this role; Saturdays and Sundays at minimum. Additional weekdays may be flexible.
• Prior experience working in a party and/or events support capacity, i.e, catering, children’s birthday parties, event production, etc.
• Ability and openness to adapt to the flexible nature of an event-based role in a small business

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
